APU isolation system
APU isolation system
APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) vibration isolation system is a system used to reduce the vibration generated by the APU to the aircraft structure.APU is an auxiliary power unit of the aircraft, usually located in the tail or wing inside the aircraft, which is used to undertake the auxiliary role of the aircraft ground loop control air induction, start the main engine and as an emergency power source in the air. Aircraft auxiliary power unit not only needs to meet the requirements of the aircraft on the auxiliary power, but also to meet the requirements of its installation and vibration isolation on the aircraft.
The design principle is to separate the APU from the aircraft structure through the use of isolation support structures, vibration-damping materials and isolation shims, etc., and to absorb, dissipate and isolate vibration energy, thus reducing the transmission of vibration. Its function is to reduce structural fatigue, enhance flight safety, improve passenger comfort and protect other systems from vibration interference.
The APU vibration isolation system designed by our company has been widely used in actual airplanes and has achieved remarkable results.
